TBD

People have been kind of hating on this new HBO show “How To Make It In America.” I get why. The writing is filled with annoying “insidery” references that end up sounding like they’re trying to be insidery as opposed to actually being insidery. The product placement is shameless and distracting. The sidekick dude who keeps trying to sell skateboards out of a shopping cart needs a slap upside the head. But I am harboring a glimmer of hope in spite of all of this adversity. I like Bryan Greenberg. He has yet to really break through in a big way and he should. Same with Lake Bell. She’s an underrated comedic actress with a really strong presence. The elements are all there—catchy soundtrack, interesting art direction, on-location authenticity. But it’s like the finance dude character who’s obsessed with getting into (the ever-so-douchey) Avenue; it needs to relax, and maybe take up a slightly more inspired cause.

Old Navy bikinis are my secret weapon. They cost like $5 ($16.50 per piece), last as long as your average overpriced Calvin Klein shtick and fit perfectly. Just shopping bagged this print online. Adorable.
