I'm reading New York Magazine's (www.nymag.com) current "Approval Matrix" and just thinking about how it kinda sucks to end up on the "despicable" side of the matrix. I mean, who really wants to be deemed despicable, no less by a bunch of hipstery edity pseudo-intellectual types at a self-important magazine? Also got to thinking: if you're going to be despicable, DEFINITELY better to be in the "lowbrow" section of the matrix, no? Because it's not like you came out of the box aiming for brilliance. You're lowbrow to begin with, so despicable is kind of the point. On the other hand, the peeps in the highbrow/despicable section...better luck next time?Tuesday, April 27, 2010
